A statutory body formed under West Bengal Govt. Act XXVI of 2013 for administration, examining and certifying Technical, Vocational courses in West Bengal along with skill development. The courses are offered from various affiliated Polytechnics and Institution like Higher Secondary, Secondary Schools and other centers across the State of West Bengal. The objective of the council is to serve the students / trainees by imparting suitable education/ skill training and by supplying those trained candidates to the employers. It has its headquarters in Karigari Bhawan, 4th & 5th Floor, Plot-B/7, Action Area-III, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata, West Bengal, PIN-700160.
