“My father has a small garment business. My father wanted me to join his business after I finish my H.S. without pursuing any further education. Since I had no knowledge of the retail industry, I never wanted to do so as I wanted to take up a specialization degree to get further knowledge of the concerned sector. I was getting depressed day-by-day. My uncle who is also a part of our family business told me about specialization course under UTKARSH BANGLA Flagship Scheme of PBSSD. At once I decided to join the course. The practical sessions were outstanding. I also liked the field trips as I learnt many things from there like the ways of setting up one display area to attract the customers. I also learnt how to gauge customer’s taste and preference and how a retailer meets it. Now I am looking after my father’s business where I am using my knowledge and understanding to action. I am grateful to UTKARSH BANGLA Flagship Scheme of PBSSD for showing me the right direction.”
